Job Description:

As a Marine Service Technician at Paradise Cove Marina, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of marine vessels and equipment. Your expertise in marine engineering and mechanics will be vital in diagnosing issues, conducting repairs, and performing regular maintenance. You will work closely with our team of professionals and interact with clients to provide exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and perform maintenance on marine vessels and equipment, including engines, propulsions systems, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and clients.
• Provide detailed service reports and recommendations to improve vessel performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with the parts department to manage inventory and order necessary parts and supplies.
• Keep up to date with industry developments and advancements in marine technology.
• Offer technical support and advice to clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Marine Service Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of marine engines, electrical systems, and hull maintenance.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and in various weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in marine engineering or related field is preferred.
